Hi I’m Nikki, I’m the woman behind the camera and the emails. Welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I live in Bearwood, near Birmingham with my husband Ben, our two moggies Winnie & Gizmo, and my dad Norm. We recently renovated my falling down childhood home, and it was exactly like an episode of Grand Designs… and also Hoarding Buried Alive… more on that another time. The most exciting/relevant bit is that now the house is built, I’ve turned my inner interior design demon onto building a photography studio of dreams in our back garden. I’m really excited to be able to start doing portrait sessions there, and being able to invite my clients over for a brew.

There are no words to describe how happy we are with our photos by the very talented Nikki and Ben! You have captured our day in a way that reflected the magic and love we felt within and around us. It felt like you were just part of the family. Thank you for everything, including Ben rescuing Rich and stopping by at Morrisons to stock up on more beer!

My Approach:
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2011, and have been running my photography business full-time since 2014. If you’d like to know more about why I became a photographer I wrote a whole blog post about it here.
It’s really hard to describe your own work - some call it reportage, documentary, natural, story-telling… I call it legacy. Because for me that’s what your photos are. They’re your legacy. There’s nothing better than capturing genuine emotion in a photograph and it’s even better when you know that those photos are going to be treasured, and years down the line they’ll be used to help tell stories about the people in them.
Below are a few of my most treasured photographs…

Bit more about me:

  • My morning beverage of choice is a strong brew, with one sugar.

  • I’m regularly up late enough to listen to the shipping forecast.

  • Ben and I got married on 30th September 2017. It remains the wettest wedding we’ve ever been to.

  • Last year I shot my 100th wedding! It also happened to be my sister-in-laws wedding - pretty special one to shoot :)

  • I’m a tad cat obsessed. The most cats I’ve ever owned at one time is 8… I aim to top that number when I retire.

  • We hope to add a Beagle to our family soon.

  • I’m Nikon, Ben’s Canon. It’s best if we don’t talk about it…
